Leanela caffeine content: 120 mg per sachet
How Leanela’s caffeine compares to coffee – and how to keep your daily total in check.
Leanela contains 120 mg of caffeine per sachet. That is clearly stated on the label – and it matters, because caffeine adds up across your day.
| Leanela (1 sachet) | 120 mg |
|---|---|
| Leanela in a cup of brewed coffee | about 200–220 mg in total* |
| Leanela in water | 120 mg |
* A typical cup of brewed coffee contains roughly 80–100 mg of caffeine; the actual amount varies widely by coffee type, size and preparation.

How much caffeine is too much?
Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) found that, for healthy non-pregnant adults, single doses of up to about 210 mg and up to 400 mg of caffeine a day were not associated with adverse effects. Pregnant women are advised to limit caffeine to 200 mg a day – and Leanela itself is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
One Leanela sachet (120 mg) mixed into a strong coffee can bring a single serve close to 200 mg. If you usually drink several coffees a day, mix Leanela with water instead.
